The Reverend Douglas C. HalvorsenPresident and Chief Executive Officer, Administrator of Record
The Rev. Douglas C. Halvorsen is President and Chief Executive Officer. He is licensed in NJ as a Nursing Home Administrator. He previously served as Chief Clinical Officer of Cummins Mental Health Center in Avon, IN, and as Vice President, Clinical Services, for Serv Centers of NJ in Trenton, NJ. He is a graduate of Asbury College, Wilmore, KY; Rutgers University, New Brunswick, NJ; Princeton Theological Seminary, Princeton, NJ, and is Certified in Aging Services through the University of North Texas. He resides with his wife in Mount Laurel, NJ.
Gerald I. MagidChief Financial Officer
Gerald I. Magid brings over 25 years of senior financial management experience in the CCRC and long-term care sectors to his position as Chief Financial Officer. Prior to joining The Evergreens, Gerry served as CFO at Stapeley in Germantown located in Philadelphia Pennsylvania. He has been a presenter on issues related to finance and subsidized housing development at regional and national conferences, and holds a B.S. in accounting from Penn State University and an MBA from LaSalle University. Gerry resides in Huntingdon Valley, PA with his wife and serves, in his off-work hours, as an officer and board member of an equestrian program for individuals with disabilities.
Dakia McMillian, RN, BSNDirector of Health Services, Nursing & Privacy (HIPAA), Administrator in Training
Before her appointment to the Director of Health Services position in 2008, Dakia McMillian, RN, BSN managed the Nursing Department at The Evergreens starting in 2001. She has worked in Long Term Care for over 15 years, having previously served as a Certified Nursing Assistant, Staff Nurse, Unit Manager, and Assistant Director of Nursing at various healthcare institutions. Dakia received her nursing diploma from Helene Fuld School of Nursing and a B.S. in nursing from the University of Delaware. Dakia recently completed 1500 hours as an Administrator in Training and is looking forward to taking the Licensed Nursing Home Administrator exam in the very near future. Dakia is a certified CNA instructor and evaluator, as well as the proud mother of three sons.
Elisabeth A. Siegert MD, FACP, CMDMedical Director
After completing her medical residency at Cooper University Hospital and a geriatric fellowship at Duke University, Dr. Siegert joined the Division of Geriatric Medicine at Cooper Hospital in 1992. Today she serves as the primary physician for The Evergreens residents as well as a member of the Cooper University Hospital‘s teaching faculty. Her duties include supervising a geriatric fellow from the New Jersey Institute for Successful Aging, mentoring medical students and medical residents during their geriatric medicine elective at The Evergreens and teaching on rounds at the hospital. Beyond primary geriatric care and education, Dr. Siegert has an interest in integrative medicine, medical ethics and end-of-life care, which was nurtured during her experiences as a young volunteer at The Washington Home Hospice in Washington, DC. Dr. Siegert is an Associate Professor of Medicine at UMDNJ – Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in Camden. She has been deemed a “Top Doc” in her field by various magazines and a model mom by her four children.
Nicole AlbrechtDirector of Administrative Services
Nicole Albrecht joined The Evergreens in 2004 and currently oversees all administrative services at The Evergreens. Prior to joining The Evergreens, Nicole was the Legal Department Manager at CitiCapital for six years and worked as a Development Associate for The Arc of Monmouth for six years. Nicole is currently enrolled in the program to become a Certified Aging Services Professional. She resides in Tabernacle, NJ with her husband Dave and their two children.
John KennedyDirector of Dining Services
John Kennedy arrived at The Evergreens in April of 2004 as the Director of Dining Services after managing dining departments at several local CCRCs. John began his remarkable rise in the food service industry at the age of 16, starting as a restaurant busboy and working up to positions of progressively greater responsibility including cook, waiter, kitchen manager, maitre d’ and bartender. He ultimately participated in 11 new restaurant openings and earned the title of general manager at age 24.

Cecily comes to us with 11 + years sales and marketing experience and for the past 6 years was the Director of Marketing and Sales at Stonebridge at Montgomery in Skillman, New Jersey. Cecily resides in New Hope, Pennsylvania.
Reverend Martin B. LavengoodChaplain
After spending seven years as a high school English teacher in New York State, Reverend Lavengood pursued a life of faith that would take him across the world. Following his becoming an ordained minister in the Episcopal Church in 1991, he received a scholarship from the Bishop, and served as the first Roberta C. Rudin Scholar, residing and studying in Jerusalem. Upon his return to the United States, Reverend Lavengood served as a parish priest in churches in New York and Indiana, and was active in prison ministry. In 2003, Reverend Lavengood entered chaplain residency at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. He was especially drawn to elders, however, which led him to serve as Chaplain at Wesley Enhanced Living at Evangelical Manor in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In coming to the Evergreens as Chaplain, Reverend Lavengood has returned to the denominational faith of his roots in serving a CCRC with historic ties to the Episcopal Church in the United States.
Alice MoseleyDirector of Facilities
Alice Moseley oversees the core operations that provide resident and staff services and maintains the physical campus to ensure a safe, healthy and an attractive environment. As a former Legal Administrator for the law offices of Dilworth Paxson, LLP, Alice directs the operations of Security, Maintenance, Environmental Services, Laundry and Central Supply. Alice and her husband, Ralph, reside in Mount Laurel, NJ, where she is a member of the Board of Trustees of the community library.
Gail RocciaDirector of Activities
Originally trained as a graphic artist, Gail Roccia has applied her creative gifts on behalf of the elderly since 1992. A certified Activity Director, Dementia Practitioner and Validation Practitioner, Gail oversees the Sharing Hearts programs at The Evergreens in addition to supervising activities among individuals in the Residential Healthcare and Skilled Nursing divisions of the community.
Anne Rosenfeld, MSW, LCSWDirector of Social Services
After earning an MSW in Social Work from the University of Pennsylvania, Anne Rosenfeld, MSW, LCSW worked at the Penn Cancer Center as an oncology social worker. Before joining The Evergreens in 2009, she was a member of the hospice interdisciplinary care team at Moorestown Visiting Nurses Association, where she was also responsible for operating Camp Firefly, a bereavement camp for children. Anne recently earned her Clinical Social Work License (LCSW) after completing over 1,900 supervised hours and passing the national LCSW exam. She is currently an Administrator in Training working towards her Nursing Home Administrators License. She lives in Philadelphia, PA with her husband.
